Who were the Reformers?
The Reformers were a group which found err in the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and fought against it. One example of these Reformers was a man named Martin Luther. On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther nailed Ninety-Five Theses to the door of the Church in Wittenberg. This rebellious act launched the Protestant Reformation: a movement which was marked by a return to the Bible . These Reformers championed the fact that the gospel by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, as taught by the Bible alone, and for God's glory alone.
